How to update HR Patch

Dear All,

Currently we are using Patch 31 for HR but facing so many problem and also unable to apply note becouse code correction are not available, so that we decided to update patch from 31 to 33 (HR), So that what factor i have to be consider.

Please help me in details.

Hello Sachin,

You should first update your SPAM/SAINT to the latest version and read

the note 173814 to ensure that you don't encounter any problems during

the implementation of the HR packages.

Some More points to remember :-

1) It's always a good idea to update the BASIS and ABAP packages before

applying APPL and/or HR packages as well.

2) Don't forget to check the dependencies between the different supportpackages, also

sometimes a kernel upgrade is a prerequisite of a SP.

3) Suppport packages are sometimes big ones (like the HR ones), sometimes a time

out dump occurs if you perform the import in dialog, so in background is advicible.

4) Also TP and R3trans upgrade first before you update SPAM/SAINT before you

import Support Packages....(and sometimes the kernel).

5)Finally download the latest patch from OSS.
