In R/3 System Host file make entry of SOLUTION MANAGER IP & HOSTNAME

in R/3 SM59

In Technical Seetings tab

Just Enter a) target host ( Sol mgr Host) b) System Number (Sol mgr Sys No)

it will retreive the Ip automatically

In Login Security Tab

Enter a) LANG b) Client (Sol Mgr Client) c) User (Sol Mgr User) d) Pwd (Sol mgr user passwoprd)

don't enter any gateway host and -let it use local gateway

Hi Abdul,

I suppose from the error description your solution manager instance no is 10.

so from your R/3 system port might not be open.

Check if port

33<Instance no of Solution manager system) is open from your R/3 system.

e.g 3310.

Thanks,

Hi Mikhael,

Thanks.

Yes, in SM59 screen, I can see the target system's hostname in the relevant place.

Anything else to check? Like the services file?

Regards,

Abdul

i mean, if you call destination system from sourse system by its hostname...is it reachable or is it reachable only by IP?

can your system see destination host by its host name?
