New to XI

Hi all,

I am glad to learn XI. But I am curious in learning in depth each and everything as such. I have understood certain things on a general note like SLD, ID,IR and RWB.

My doubt was in SLD, while creating techincal system,they ask to "Select the type of technical system you want to create". There are various options. " Web AS ABAP,Web AS Java,Standalone,Third-Party. I would like to know do we use these options and under what scenarios. Any help in terms of PDF or explanation will help.

Hi,

In the Intergration repository, when do we create "Data Types"? Is it when we know the structure of the input and output of a particular scenario?

Also, what are the various uses of the Interface Objects??

Anju,

We always need a datatype for your interface. This we have to create manually in XI. The only time when we dont create this is when you have XSD Or WSDL or DTD. If we have this then we will import them directly and will use.

There is nothing like Interface Objects. Do you mean Context Objects. If it is yes then it simplify access to message fields. This improves the readability of conditions in integration processes and in logical routing.
