Hi,

I am unable to connect to a remote server through visual administrator

WAS is on sp 19 and ep sps 19.

The status bar reaches 99% and does not go further.

what is strange is that this occurs when i use VA(SPS19) on the client

while WAS is sp 19.

However when i use VA sp 17 on the client,i am able to connect(but there are otherproblems in this case)

Could someone help..?

Hi

Paste the \usr\sap\SID\JCXX\j2ee\admin\log\system (visual admin log) as well as traces.

Till that time try a work around:

Create a new connection from visual admin

Choose direct connection to dispatcher

Give the credentials,Port should be 5XXX4( that is if http port is 50000 in visual admin you should give 50004)

Try to connect lets see if it works.

Do not forget to paste the logs i asked for.

hi,

visual admin hangs sometimes like this,if some threads are locked.

restart the instance once and retry,it will work.

Hi Rocky,

which java version (JDK) do you use on your workstation where the visual admin is located? there can be strange problems when go.bat or go.jar gets JDK 1.5.0 instead of 1.4.2....
