Dear Gurus
Please advise if transport of copies is the same as normal transport request whereby it has to be released 1st before a request can be transported.
Thanks in advance.
regards
Markus
Hi Markus,
If you're talking about Client Copy, the transport request it generates can't be released.
Just do:
1- Export the client (SCC8). It generates the transport files.
2- (if needed) From OS, copy the files to the remote server. Create the destination client (SCC4).
3- Import the client (SCC6 + SCC7).
Best Regards,
JC Llanes.

Hello SDN,
Here is the link on online help on Transport of copies:

Transports of copies
You can use this request type to transport objects to a specified SAP System.
The objects are transported with the version they have in the current SAP System. The original location of the objects remains unchanged. There is no delivery to another SAP System.
Its too little information to understand this concept. It does not tell me the difference between this and a normal request except 'there is no delivery to another SAP system', which I do not understand either.
Pls could you advise. Thanks.
Regards
Markus
