hello all.

I tried to install the minisap 6.1 for the first time when this error appear, a 28%.

I saw the thread and i edited the windows registry. I downloaded a program to clean the registry before. After this, I remove the SAP entries in the registry. Then, the instalation works fine.

Thanks to all... See you later...

Hi Rodrigo,

sure you're installing Sapgui?!?

Looks like you try installing (Mini)SAP and the errors occur while SapSetup tries to install MaxDB.

If you just want to install the GUI you'll find it on a disk called "Presentation CD".

If you want to install MiniSAP, you're in the wrong forum... (and read the Installation Guide. I think it won't either work with a FAT32 Partition nor XP).

Peter

Edit: Ooops, XP is ok. Did it myself long time ago; sorry.

Hi,

the SDBINST program was called by SAPINST and apparently there's an issue when it's trying to install MaxDB.

Please take a look if you have a SDBINST .log-file, probably in <drive>:\sapdb\data\wrk, named something like 'MaxDBSoftware_install...' or 'MaxDBServer_install...'

Please post any error messages you find in that log-file (matching the timestamp) into this thread.

Regards,

Roland

Hi again,

please search your harddisks for a SDBINST logfile (MaxDBSoftware_install.log or MaxDBServer.log), as I stated before. Normally they reside in the <drive>:\sapdb\data\wrk directory of a MaxDB installation.
