SCM 5.0 Installation

Hi Gurus,

I am going to install SCM 5.0 and would like to know if anyone has installation document for the same. I have SAP install document but if you have any custom doc that will be great.

Also I would like to know , whether AS ABAPJAVA is required for SCM 5.0 or AS ABAP is good ? What’s the benefit of installing SCM server on ABAPJAVA ?

Hello Jini,

SCM 5.0 can be any of the three AS ABAP,AS JAVA or both of these.

Hi Ruchit,

I think AS ABAP is mandatory for SCM 5.0 ? Are you sure that I can install SCM on AS JAVA .Cos I can see that Software unit SCM APP ( SCM application set ) is AS ABAP dependent.

In my installation screen I selected

SCM APP under SCM 2005 Software Unit and I am confused about the selection under Additional Netweaver Software Units . Here I can see AS ABAP, AS JAVA ,BI JAVA, DI,EP,MI,PI etc .. Can I select AS ABAP and AS JAVA , If i select that I think it will install ABAP and JAVA .. Is there anything wrong ?
