CCM 2.0 with SRM 6.0

Hello all,

Our customer wants to use CCM 2.0 with SRM 6.0.

Can you please comment with compatibilty, SAP support and other concerns?

This is the information which i got from sap internal support

"mySAP SRM 6.0 ramp-up customers must run SRM-MDM Catalog".

Mahesh, is correct. We got the same response, SAP will only support SRM-MDM with SRM 6.

i was on the SRM RKT Workshop.

For Ramp up customers MDM is mandatory.

But in future they said the client can decide.

(But i think they wantto push MDM)

Hi Dinesh,

with SRM 6.0 SAP want customers to use SRM-MDM. But there is no technical

boundary, which prevents you using CCM 2.0, so you could go for it.

When it is a new implemention, I would recommend to go for MDM. Support for

CCM is not really there (it is a mess to get answers on issues ... ) and from

perspective your customer should use MDM anyway. There are several issues

with CCM, but support is not really focused on this solution as not many

customers using it.

When you already use CCM 1.0, go for the upgrade and later do the switch to

MDM.

Guys,

Both CCM and SRM-MDM catalog are supported till 2013. We are on Ramp-up for SRM 6.0 with SRM-MDM. For Ramp-up it is mandatoryto have SRM-MDM2.0. But for GA release of SRM 6.0 which willhappen sometime in Q3/2007, there is a choice. But, SRM-MDM offers much more..We are still in the process of setting up the system. Will let you know once we prototype all the scenarios.
