Hi,

can you tell me:

a) which exact MaxDB version (incl. Build-nr.) is being used?

b) if you see any errors in the MaxDB logfiles (i.e. knldiag, knldiag.err or dbm.prt during the very same timeslot)? If yes, please post them in this thread.

Currently it seems there's a problem switching on the automatic start of the DB instance.

Regards,

Roland

Further Info:

I have install the 7.0 Preview with the Enterprise portal J2E and this works fine.

I set all services to manual because both Server would start than. But at the installation of CE1 I only set ServerX to manual and "sap DB WWW" to manual.

Thanks for your fast answer.

Hi,

is the Service for the DB itself (SAPDB: CE1) also set to 'manual'? Did you test it on 'automatic' too?

Which user ist set as 'Log on' for that service entry, is it the Local System Account or another user?

Can you tell me if it the DB version is 7.5 or 7.6?

Roland

Hi,

yes I had have switch the service CE1 to automatic during installation. But the same result.

the DB Version of CE1 is:

20070504 00145720 KERNELVERSION KERNEL 7.6.02 BUILD 009-123-147-916

the DB Version of J2E is:

20070504 00121516 KERNELVERSION KERNEL 7.6.00 BUILD 034-123-134-685

'Log on' is for both DB ( J2E and CE1) Local System Account.

Maybe there is problem because both DB are stored in the same path.

'n:\sapdb' and so also both use the folder program and data with subfolder.

It looks like that some files are used together.

I will uninstall CE1 again and try to install in sapdb2.
