Hi.
I am in the process of reorging the bigger tables from PSAPBTABD to their own tablespaces in order to better manage them in the future and free up some space in BTABD.
I have a table that is about 73GB in size, to be reorged in a new tablespace with the following storage parameters:
INITIAL 163840K NEXT 163840K MINEXTENTS 25 MAXEXTENTS UNLIMITED and PCTINCREASE 0.
I am using SAPDBA to reorg the table. During the import phase the following occurs: unable to allocate MINEXTENTS beyond 1 in tablespace PSAPCMFPD
The datafile for the tablespace PSAPCMFPD is 2040M. After the error I created and added a new data file but the next message during the import is: unable to allocate MINEXTENTS beyond 12 in tablespace PSAPCMFPD.
what would be the right storage parameter for reorging a 75GB table on its own tablespace?
Do I need to keep adding datafiles to resolve the issue? If so, should I create datafiles smaller than 2040M ?
I have 500GB of free disk space.
Any help is appreaciated.
Regards,
Damien
