HDB Express - IndexServer

I successfully installed SAP HANA Express edition and I do not see that there is an IndexServer. Without an IndexServer how can I connect from Studio (SQL port)?

Am I missing something here? Thanks

Hi Travus,

No, you are not missing anything.

HANA express is running in multi-tenant (also called as multi-db) mode, with only system db configured. In such a mode, you will only see name server, not the index server.

If you were to create a tenant DB, you would a separate index server process gets created to server that tenant DB.
