Hi,
We have configured incident management and few fields are made mandatory like severity,Description,category.
an incident id is being generated with out filling these mandatory fields.
please suggest how to restrict the incident id generation with out filling the mandatory fields.

Hi Kittu
It depends on how the incident is created because if you use create - incident from incident management menu option, an incident ticket (number) is generated and then you can fill in the fields.
In terms of self service, there you should be able to put fields mandatory and an incident is only generated upon going through the steps of the self service "wizard".
So please provide more information and provide screenshots even if possible, this will help other community members to provide a decent answer that can help you further.
