EHP7 to EHP8 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 - Upgrade

Hello Experts,

we are performing a SAP EHP8 Upgrade running on a SAP ASE 16.0 SP02.

In the Execution Phase we are getting the following error:

Hi Kaushik, thanks for your response! I already updated tp and also the complete kernel... How can i update SUM without breaking up the upgrade? best regards Jakob

Hi Jakob,

Looks like the issue is with a custom program ZABAP2XLSX_DEMO_SHOW.

Do you have this in your system and was it reported in the modification adjustment.

thanks for your reply! Looks like the issue is solved.

Problem was the program "ZABAP2XLX_DEMO_SHOW", because my collegue copied it to the system but did not activate it.

So, i had to unlock the system as described in note 1901463 - How to unlock the SAP system to perform correction(s) during an upgrade. and activate all parts of the program.

Then i locked the system again and the "Execution"-Phase continued.

As per your 1st post, it seems that you need to to check the tp.exe in your kernel location, if required you can also separately download the upgraded tp version, uncar & paste in the kernel folder & then again re-run this job. Generally Code 8 or 12 means some components or some product/part missing. If not solved after this then, re-download the SUM Tool(updated one) & then run this task after that.
