Error Message AM206:  Specify PO Box for PO Box postal code.

We are having the problem with trying to Remove a PO Box in the Vendor Master FK02 where they have both a Street/House number; City & Postal Code.  The PO Box Address field cannot be removed and there is not another PO Box Postal Code field available, only 'Other city' tab button which allows to Capture differing city for PO Box; but not a PO Box postal code field.

The configuration OBD3 set up shows 'PO Box'; 'P.O.box postal code'; and 'P.O. Box city' as Optional Entry; but P.O. box postal code does not show available anywhere in Vendor Master Record for XK02 or FK02.  Nor is there an option in XK01 or FK01 to enter a P.O. Box postal code.

We are SAP_AP Release 700.

Hi Mary,

The settings for your vendor group in OBD3 is only part of story. Please check although in OB24 and OB23 (particularly Change Vendor (Accounting)) if there is competing setting for this same field but with higher priority which may affect behavior in FK02.

The settings in OB23 and OB24 for all address fields; PO Box and PO Box City and PO Box Postal code are all 'optional'.

Have you checked for OSS notes? Please try attribute search in Launchpad with message AM206 restricted by your productive system.

Although you can try to debug in FM ADDR_POSTAL_CODE_CHECK with your message number to find out why this message is raised.
