SAP PI 7.0 will support for SHA2 Algoritham ?

Hi Experts,

We have interfaces with SHA1 algorithm in below PI 7.0 version.

Service Pack : 16

Release     :  NW701_16_REL

interface flow is from SAP ECC to Web service.

Now 3rd party is changing the certificate algorithm from SHA1 to SHA2. Could anyone please confirm that above PI version will support SHA2 or not?

No , SHA2 is not in supported 7.0 .

SHA2 algorithm will support in PI 7.0 SOAP Adapter ?

Hi,

SAP will not introduce anything in PI 7.0, they only have support with the incidents because the the netweaver platform changed and just now they are developing the Netweaver 7.5.

Manoj, i have a little doubt, this link Implementing SHA2 / SHA256 type certificate in ... | SCN, is it useful to create sha2 certificates in Netweaver 7.0 but not to install external certificates to consume?

When there's a possibility of creating an SHA2 in 7.0 i feel we can even install the external SHA2 certificate. but not sure on this.

Where this speaks about the version of SAPCRYPTOLIB  to support to SHA2.

But how about running XPI_Inspector to validate SSL connection in  7.0 , will this confirm the SHA2 support on 7.0?
