Account owner: Employee Responsible with sales org

Hi Experts,

We're facing an issure with the owner of an account when an employee is assigned to the account team with a sales organisation. As an example please consider the following description: Employee A is assigned to the account team of account ZZ with the role "Employee Responsible - Sales" without a sales organisation. As a result the account owner is set correctly with employee A. In contrast, when employee A is assigned with the same role and with a sales organisation the account owner is not set. "This is the desired system behaviour", as the SAP support answered in an incident. Actually that makes sense because it is possible to add several employees with the party role "Employee Responsible - Sales" and different sales organisations. Therefore, it would'nt be possible for the system to determine the unique account owner.

Since the account team is not only modified in the C4C system but also in the ECC the information about the sales organization is highly important for us. Do you know any way to store the information about the sales organization within the party role "Employee Responsible - Sales" without losing the connection to the account owner?

Hi Lukas,

Store the same employee as owner additionally without Sales Organization.

This of course has a dedicated semantics, so that it needs to be decided which employee is selected as cross sales area responsible employee.

I would say that the party determination starts with the owner of the dedicated sales area so that this employee only would be used if no owner for a dedicated sales area is found.

Which one is then used now depends on the decision which employee is added without Sales Organization.

Hi Mugesh,

Thank you for your advice. If we do so and just duplicate the party role we would need to do the same work twice. Of course we could implement a SDK enhancement in order to create a second party role assignment automatically when the party role "Employee Responsible - Sales" with a sales organization is added, but is there no intended standard procedure to fulfill this request?
