Hi ,

Is this you dummy or IDES system? If its your Live or Production system, then I would like to ask you to shut down your SAP systems & restart the Domain-Controller server for SAP Systems & then you start starting the SAP systems 1by1, which will sort out your network matter because its obvious the IP DNS is assigned to the SAP Active Directory Server/Domain-Controller Server, which its not able to locate at the start of this server only. Also this same matter you can notice in the system Event-Viewer Logs also. Also would like to know whether a recent kernel upgrade has been done on the system or you are starting this server after long days back?

Thanks,

Kaushik

Hello Kaushik,

where do you see an IP address? Sorry, I don't understand your conclusion ... maybe you can explain it a bit more in detail please?

Dispatcher stopped, because the work processes died. We need a dev_w* trace to get more information.

Best regards,

Kalle

That is why , I guess, its required for you to have a deep look whatever or whenever you take a look. Ok, coming to the main point, as I am a bit knowledgeable person on the Domain Controllers, that why I asked the User to confirm whether its a dummy or Live system. Because the below scenario

will only come for the DNS matter, if you have started the SAP this system before the SAP Domain Controller in your company because its too possible that in the Primary or Secondary DNS he has mentioned the SAP Domain Controller, which the SAP System was not able to get while checking the IP address details. So need the User to check the corresponding DNS IP mentioned servers to be up & running & also SAP Active Directory is fine there.

Thanks,

Hi Kaushik,

thanks. The check for 1.0.0.0 has nothing to do with Domain Controllers. And I hope SAP development will change this piece of code, soon.

The dispatcher checks if the Windows OS returns a hostname for IP address 1.0.0.0. This should guarantee, that the naming resolution on Windows is properly configured, also for a reverse lookup.

The problem is, that almost any Windows configuration will need more than 3 seconds for a reverse lookup for 1.0.0.0.

A simple check with ping command proofs this:

ping -a 1.0.0.0

(ping command also uses function call getnameinfo() to retrieve a hostname for an IP address)

So above lines will be seen in many (almost any?) dev_disp work traces on Windows. Regardless if you disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP or WINS. There is an ugly workaround of course available: Add "1.0.0.0 whateverhost" to \etc\hosts and then ping -a 1.0.0.0 will answer fast and the "error" line in dev_disp will disappear.

Here, the dispatcher trace clearly shows that the work processes were started, but died somehow. The reason for this cannot be seen in the dispatcher trace.

Best regards,

Kalle

I also thought about more explanation, but I was basically waiting for the user response, but i replied only because you asked. I think, I will get back here, if the User is dying to solve the matter & for that he will put answer to my questions posted at the 1st reply.

Thanks,

Kaushik

Hi all,

The "possible network issue" for IP 1.0.0.0 has nothing to do with the startup issue.

Hello Sandeep,

Involve your Oracle team so they fix this.

Hi Isaias,

Thanks for your reply.

As I am using a dummy system so I can not get support from Oracle team.

Could you please suggest an alternative to fix this.

Please take a look to R3trans logs also,

D:\usr\sap\SPI\SYS\exe\uc\NTI386>R3trans -d

This is R3trans version 6.14 (release 700 - 18.09.06 - 09:35:00).

unicode enabled version

2EETW169 no connect possible: "connect failed with DBLI_RC_LOAD_LIB_FAILED."

R3trans finished (0012).

Sandeep

Hello Sandeep,

I do not work with Oracle... I searched for SAP notes using the keyword "ORA-28000" and I found the SAP note 951167. I hope it helps.

Hi Sandeep,

Try this as <sid>adm:

sqlplus "/ as sysdba"

alter user SAPSR3 account unlock;

exit

Then try restarting your system.

Hope that helps.

Thank you Joseph,

I run in Command prompt sqlplus "/ as sysdba and passed query show user;

result was 'SYS'

and after that passed

alter user SYS account unlock;

result was user alterd,

but in SQL Plus I Can login with Scott user but not with SYS user(I dont know password), I login with Scott user and try to alter user SYS.

but result was Insufficient privileges,

Thank you

sandeep

Hi Sandeep.

1. Have you change the any host name ?

2. Try to restart the system and then check the SAP startup .. if possible add the local host file enter hostname - IP address.

3. Currently you kernel release and level are low you may require to upgrade the kernel..
