Can you please provide me detailed pros and cons of using MRP Area.

Things we should keep in mind before implementing St. Loc MRP Area.

Hello Amit,

The MRP area represents an organizational unit for which material requirements planning is carried out independently .

it can be a group of materials in the plant or storage location or Sub contracting vendors

Hi,

Kindly go through below document for understand MRP Area.

When you have defined MRP areas for storage locations , you have assigned the materials, the plant MRP area is reduced by exactly  storage locations. This is because they are now to be planned separately.

As soon as you have activated materials requirements planning with MRP areas, this type of MRP is active at client level, that is, MRP will be carried out in this way in all plants.

Material requirements planning with MRP areas cannot be reversed.
