rename parent role

hi all,

I have created parent role and derived role, now i want to change the name (rename)of

the parent role,without effecting the derived role.

Hi,

First copy the master role using PFCG to a role with new name you wish to have. Then you have to generate the role. Now open the master and delete the menu. Once the menu is removed it will let you put new inheritance in the derived role. You can put the name of the new master role you created. This will help you keep the same derived role name and also the same profile name. Once the new roles are done you can transport it. The transport automatically includes the Parent roles

Hi,

1.First go to menu of the master role

2. On the righthand side u will find a button to delete all nodes

3. U can now go to derived role, delete the inheritance and put that of the new master role

I tried this steps but the derived role auth. tab still shows RED after pushing the auth objects from new master role.

Any program needs be ran ? let me know please ...
