Even though you don't need a screen emulator, I would still recommend using an industrial browser. They will ensure that the function keys all work and help control a number of parameters in the scanner environment. Just do a Google search for "industrial browsers" and you will see a number of them and their user manuals - that will give you an idea of what they bring to table over just using the built in Windows Mobile browser.
