Rebate based on customer material combination

Hi All,

      My requirement is if a customer purchases a particular material in a particular period of time, he will be given certain quantity free, (ie) If a customer purchases 100 pieces of material A in a period of 6 months he will be given 2 pieces free, I do wanna achieve this through the concept of rebates. As we can't achieve this through standard, Pls suggest me a logic.

     I am not talking about free goods, how can you achieve this requirement through free goods ? I don't think so!!!
