BCM /CC update from 7 SP6 P100 to SP8 P1

Hi,

quick question.

We want to update our BCM 7 SP6 Patch 100 to SP8 P1 (or SP9.)

The question now is : Can the update be done directly from SP6 P100 to SP8 P1 or SP9 , or do we have to update first to 7 ,than 8 , than 8 Patch 100 (and than SP9) ?

I can't seem to find this in the release notes or upgrade guide.

I ask this because I have done a lot of updates of BCM before, but the last updates from SP4 to SP6 P100 directly went terrible. After a couple of restores I finally got the message from SAP that we had to update to every SP instead of directly to the latest version.

I don't know if this still is the case with the new packages.

Can someone maybe clarify this for me?

Hi,

I believe there is no change in the approach, i.e. you should be able to upgrade directly to newest SP, by default.

The last I have done was from SP5 to SP9 and it went smooth, without any hiccups...

BTW, the newest package is SP10, since September 27th, but I would wait some time for hotfix or two... 😉
