S4 Retail 1610

Will it be possible to use selected parts of retail functionality with other IS solution sets in S4 1610 or is their a similar concept to the retail switch where you have to decide that the primary business model is Retail?

Hi James,

kindly would like to guide you to the S/4HANA Retail Roadmap ( https://support.sap.com/content/dam/website/roadmaps/en_us/industry/SAP%20Road%20Map%20for%20Retail....  ).

On slight 9, you can see that it is planned to release "Retail as a function" - allow consumer-facing industries to switch on functionality and processes for merchandise management in a nonexclusive, easily reversible manner. Additionally, harmonization of materials and articles to support reuse and higher user effectiveness is planned.

for me, the link is working.

You can also try http://go.sap.com/solution/roadmaps.html and then go to retail area. Will be the same. But of course S-User credentials are required.

I now have the link working, I had to accept new term and conditions for my "S" user.

There is no more detail in the presentation, please can you point me to more information on "Retail as a function".

Hi John,

unfortunately, I don't have any further information regarding the topic.

But I am sure, that additional information will be available with S/4HANA 1610 Release to customer - currently planned for end of October, if I am not mistaken.
