MI Client installation

Hi,

I installed the MI client for laptop using the .exe file. If I have a look at the web console of MI, I see an entry for the device after first synchronization as follows (e.g is for full MI 2.5 SP19 PL03 client installation):

Mobile Component..........Version......Status

MOBILEENGINE_JSP.....251903......Deletion with Next Synchronization

Why does this occur? I installed the MI client manually. Is there a way to not getting this line or is it madatory for the basic MI client installation done by the administrator of the device? Is there a way to deploy MI without any user interaction?

Hi Florian,

There is nothing to worry about the status "Deletion with Next Synchronization". After installing the MobileEngine_JSP this entry is shown in the MI webconsole till SP19.

This bug has been fixed in SP20.Hence If you use SP20 this status is not shown in MI Webconsole and the following status is shown "Deployment Successfully Completed".

Hi Florian,

Nothing to worry about.

Whenever you sync for the first time, some components get installed on the MI Client...so the line.

You can installed MI using the link, if configured on the MI Server,

http://<server>:<port>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/me_fw_install/install.htm.

where serve indicates your MI server, and port at which the service is running.

The user only needs insert this link in his explorer, and then he insatll MI.
