Restart stopped app and adapter engine

Hi

MY SFSF app is not working. I am using OData protocol.

Do we need to download anything more if we are using OData protocol?

I see a log that says:

it has hard reference to library.com.sap.aii.adapter.odata.lib, which is not active on the server because library is not deployed on the server

how do I restart it? I saw some references that if we restart adapter engine, it will work? How can I restart adapter engine on single stack PO?

Regards

Harish

Hi Harish,

Ask basis to restart the system. They can do via management console.

HI Praveen

We tried that actually. Apparaently it's not working ! Is there any way we can restart the adapter engine alone. Coz when we do that the adapter engine registers again in the SLD and probably will take the missing details of SFSF

Hi Harish,

Go to the Administration tab on the top right corner of the Enterprise service repository Home page. You will see the status of the Adapter Engine and also you will have an option to restart the Adapter Engine.

Actually I checked that page first. Went to tab Repository as well

But I couldn't find the adapter engine relevant details

I could see only INtegrationserver host and system number at the tp right side which is why I asked whether it's about ESR

Hi Harish,

You installed only SFSF adapter but not ODATA adapter.

When you download from service market place PI connectivity addon only contains SFSF adapter.

But SFSF adapter depends on ODATA, you need to download the below software also from service market place and deploy it into PO server.

This contains the missing library which you getting the error.

Praveen.

Hi Praveen

Thanks a million

I guess this will solve my problem. Let me download and install.

Did you download the PIADAPTER SF01 or SF02?

I just have to give the sda file and tell the BASIS to deploy, right? I have already installed some jar files for Success factors employee profile. Hope it will not get over written

Hi Harish,

If you check this blog you need to download the below three.

2.Downloading PI Connectivity Add-On

You can download the following files manually from SAP Service Marketplace and refer to the path below:

  • PI ADAPTERS 1.0 (PIADAPTERS*.SCA)
  • SFSF ADAPTER 1.0 (PICOASUF*.SCA)
  • XI CONTENT CONNECTIVITY 1.0 (CONNECTIVITY*.ZIP)

You can download same as SFSF software component. Yes ask basis to deploy PIADAPTER this is separate from SFSF.

Praveen.

Hi Praveen

I downloaded PI Connectivity add on and BASIS 702.

Now I have downloaded both

  • PI ADAPTERS 1.0 (PIADAPTERS*.SCA)
  • SFSF ADAPTER 1.0 (PICOASUF*.SCA)

Both these should be deployed in PI server, right?

Two sda files to be deployed in server, right?

Hi Harish,

Yes you need to deploy both of them into PI server. In addition to that you need to download the XI CONTENT and import into repository.

Praveen.

HI Praveen

The issue is solved. SFSF application is working fine. It's "started".

Thanks a lot for your timely suggestions

Harish
