We are upgrading SFIN component upgrade from release 1503 to 1605.

There is an issue which being noticed in the SUM during the extraction phase

Severe error(s) occurred in phase PREP_PRE_CHECK/SCANDIR_EPS0!

We have performed the below step:

1: There is no space issue.

2:  Required permission are set ( 777 with <sid>adm) .

3:  File size has been compared between the DUMP and the files in SMP. Looks Ok.

Also observed the below logs in CAR.004 and CAR.008, thinking the file has been corrupted download the files couple of time and tried executing but still fails the same error message.

SAPCAR: error reading from /hana/data/HANA_DUMP/K-730BHINSAPFIN.SAR (error 5).

Hi Neel,

Few option if you haven't tried yet.

1. Use latest version of SAPCAR

2. Did you download the file using download manager? If not please do so.

3. Check if SAPCAR -tvf K-730BHINSAPFIN.SAR list all the files present in the SAR file.

4. Run SAPCAR -tvf Filename.SAR | grep -i sapcar --->to see if any sapcar file is one of the file that is getting extracted
