Location hierarchy with 3levels

  • You have header and sub locations and products defined.
    • Header Location:  HEAD_LOC
    • Sub Locations:    SUB_LOC1, SUB_LOC2, SUB_LOC3, SUB_LOC4, SUB_LOC5
    • Header Product:  HEAD_PROD

  • The product master is well maintained for all location/product combinations.
  • The location product masters are correctly assigned to the model in use.

Settings for location product hierarchy:

  1. Location hierarchy for a certain product.
    • Product hierarchy:
      Level 1 - HEAD_PROD

    • Location hierarchy:
      Level 1 - HEAD_LOC
      Level 2 ------SUB_LOC1 (real location)
      Level 2 ------SUB_LOC2 (dummy location)
      Level 3 ------SUB_LOC3 (real location)
      Level 3 ------SUB_LOC4 (real location)
      Level 3 ------SUB_LOC5 (real location)
    • Customizing Setting:
      RELS_LOKATIONSPRODUKT 101 RELS_LOKATION  101
      RELS_LOKATIONSPRODUKT 101 RELS_PRODUKT  101
      RELS_LOKATIONSPRODUKT 102 RELS_LOKATION  102
      RELS_LOKATIONSPRODUKT 102 RELS_PRODUKT  101
      RELS_LOKATIONSPRODUKT 103 RELS_LOKATION  103
      RELS_LOKATIONSPRODUKT 103 RELS_PRODUKT  101
    • Generated location product hierarchy:
      Level 1 - HEAD_PROD @ HEAD_LOC
      Level 2 ------HEAD_PROD @ SUB_LOC1 (real location)
      Level 2 ------HEAD_PROD @ SUB_LOC2 (dummy location)
      Level 3 ------HEAD_PROD @ SUB_LOC3 (real location)
      Level 3 ------HEAD_PROD @ SUB_LOC4 (real location)
      Level 3 ------HEAD_PROD @ SUB_LOC5 (real location)

Inside the planning book i have two problems:

1. if I load the level 2:

      77100004- GERT2 (Level 2 ------HEAD_PROD @ SUB_LOC2 (dummy location))

I can't see the aggregated forecast but I can see the stock aggregated from locations DEHE2/3/4

2. If I load the level 1

     77100004 - GER(Level 1 - HEAD_PROD @ HEAD_LOC)

I can only see the stock that is loaded into the SUB_LOC1(DEHE1)

Do you know if this hierarchies work with AGGREGATED PLANNING?

if yes what I should do to be able to see all the aggregated values?

Thanks in advance and regards,

I am pretty confident APO only supports 2 levels.  I have only seen 2 levels work and have seen multiple posts on this forum on same topic/question.

Hello Ken,

Thank you very much for the prompt answer. I also read lot of topics but not with location hierarchy always with product hierarchy so I was expecting an answer like this. Hopefully someone can give me ideas on how to solve this issue.

Regards,
