File to Idoc - triggering 1 idoc out of 2 on the basis on DocType stored in GTS

Hello,

(Working on SAP PO 7.5)

My scenario is : File (Legacy) -> PI -> IDoc (GTS)

There are 2 Idoc types with same structure, out of which only 1 needs to be triggered based on the RFC response field "DocType".

We've used RFC lookup to send FileName we're getting in File to GTS and in response from them get 3 parameters :

DocType,

DocNumber 

Status.

Out of 3, on the basis of DocType I need to trigger the Idoc to GTS.

Can anyone suggest how it can be performed along with the detailed description of how this RFC lookup needs to be implemented ?

Hi Nupur,

• Add two IDocs under Signatures tab of message mapping and make the occurrence 0..1
• Create the respective IDoc based on the RFC lookup response which is IDoc type field in the response.
