Open Data Preview retrieves no rows in SAP HANA table

Former Member

Hi All,

In SAP HANA studio,I can see data/rows in tables in a schema when I run query-- select * from <schema_name1>.<table_name1>

But when I right-click on the table and click OPEN DATA PREVIEW,it shows no rows retrieved. It shows columns but no rows.

There must be some setting or change in any parameter.

Could anybody please let me know where that setting is?

Regards,

Hi Nalin,

When you do the select * and getting data means you have the read privilege.

So when you do the data preview, you should see the data as you have the read privilege.

So one chance could be, while doing the data preview, you might be referring to a table which exists in multiple schemas. Check the schema name and table name name properly before doing the data preview.

Hello Nalin

It could be due to the analytic privileges. In the Semantics -> Properties -> Privileges, could you please let me know what have you selected.

Hi Nalin,

could you please change your client from semantics layer (Semantics -> View Properties -> Default Client).

I hope, it will solve your problem.

Hi,

Did you upgrade the HANA Studio ? You may have to reinstall the studio.

Thanks
