Hi All,

Pls find the below details , we have enabled backward planning and have selected 4 days as lead time process the order in sales order level.

Customer requ.date in SO 27.09.2016 and we selected 4 days processing time , system is showing in md04 the date as 23.09.2016 which is correct as it showing that order should ready by 23rd .

But when am running MRP, planning order is creating on 27th and not on 23rd ..may I know why? Why system is not creating planned order on 23rd ?

VV,

Is planned order creation in past allowed in MRP customizing?

More details: OPPQ config, Start in Past for the plant.

Best Regards,

Rajen

VV,

Please also note the impact of this indicator. It will allow planned receipt generation in the past. So, if you are having some open requirements in past (even, due to inconsistencies with a past date!) system will create orders in past.

If this indicator is not checked, MRP tries to schedule backward, if not possible, it starts with today's date and schedule in the forward direction, which was the case in this example. You ran MRP on today's date and at most system created order on today's date (when you do not have in-house production time,or GR time).
