Connection currently not started error.

GM All,

I received 5 alerts with the following error text for Sender Idoc,SOAP and JDBC adapters:

error during receive: senderChannel 1234567890: Catching exception calling messaging system; nested exception is: \n\tcom.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Connection SOAP_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System is currently not started.

Channels are running..there are no message monitor errors and no communication channels errors, can anybody let me know what is this regarding...and does it need attention.

Hi Vijay,

Check if SOAP nodes are running fine. Try to restart and check.

We have faced similar issue and it has resolved by restarting nodes.

I said Pi server,am not sure on Soap node.

Hi Vijay,

You can do it by using NWA.

NWA-operations-systems-start&stop-java applications-search for (

com.sap.aii.adapter.soap.lib,com.sap.aii.adapter.soap.app) and restart it.

But why there are no errors recorded in message or communication channel monitoring for this, but still received alert with message id. When I looked at sender channel it is successfully running, so is it still need to be restarted. why this error occurs?

Hi Vijay,

You might have SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_TYPE, SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_ERRT for your alert and it will trigger alert with type of adapter which failed & another will capture error at the adapter level.

Try with restart above 2 SOAP node and check.

Are you getting this error frequently or first time?

1.Try re-confugiring/Doing dummy changes and check.

2.Stop/start the channel and check

3.Restart the system and check.
