Rating - SAP CC

Hi All,

I am new to Convergent charging and hybris billing, hence I am stuck with the first step. I looked for this topic many places but could not find a fundamental explanation.

Please help me to understand 'Rating' in the context of business and SAP CC landscape. I am aware how Rating process is carried out but could not understand what is 'Rating' and why it is needed.

I hope my question is not silly

Hi,

Rating refers to all the calculation mechanism of coming up with the total bill amount.

During the transfer of consumption items from SAP Convergent Charging or when rating is called in SAP Convergent Charging, data types are converted field by field.

Caution

The ABAP internal type T (data type TIMS) is not supported at the interface for transferring consumption items from SAP Convergent Charging and when rating is called in SAP Convergent Charging. You should change the ABAP-internal category N (data type NUMC) in the interface to data type C.
