Can we remove the 'Done' button in NC logging

Hello all,

There is a special situation that check operation is the last one of the routing and the operator need to log the NC if they find the production not qualified.

And there is at least there buttons in the POD, 'Add', 'Cancle' and  'Done'. Due to the icon of the button, the operator usually click the 'Add' and the 'Done'. If they do this, the production will be logged NC and complete the production. It is a truly contradiction since the production is defective one but it could be done in system.

So there is the question:

1. Could the NC520 work in NC_DATA_ENTRY?

or 2. Could the 'Done' button be removed from the POD?

Hi,

You cannot remove Done button.

NC520 is to be assigned to PRE_COMPLETE of the operation. If Log NC is finished with Complete instead of Disposition, NC520 should be triggered.

As alternative approach, you can add a cycling path from the end of the step back to the start of the step and assign a routing script so that at the end of the step you have 2 paths: one leads to Done if the script finds no open/existing NCs, and otherwise the second path leads you back to in queue to the same step.

Another approach is to assign "Useable As Is No Return" disposition function or you can try to turn off Disposition for this NC Client.
