Can we migrate MCOD to MCD in SAP Hana

I Need help to understand if we can migrate a MCOD  database to MCD database in hana .

Hi Amar,

Yes, you can (from MCOD to MDC). After conversion, the multiple schemas in single container database <SID> will be move to tenant database <SID>.

Thanks for reply Ning , but Schemas will be  moved to 1 tenant database right , I want to move each shchema into individual tenant databases.

I tried looking for documentation on this process I didn't find it.

Hi Amar,

A workaround you can try with the following steps:

1. Convert to MDC

2. Export schemas 2,3...

3. Create corresponding new tenant databases

4. Import schema into each new tenant database.

5. Remove step 2 schemes in original converted tenant database.
