Dear Experts,
One our client wants to create Profit Center validation for sales order.
For example: If Profit Center "9999" (Dummy Profit Center) is used in Sales order then it should give a warning message as "Dummy profit center 9999 should not be used."
We have successfully done it Financial Accounting, and it works while doing FB70. But it is not working for Sales Order.
Kindly provide solution.
Thanks in advance & Regards,
SAP SD Team
Since Profit Center will always be fetched to sale order from material master, the better approach would be to show this field in display mode in sale order via transaction variant and set the in-completion log. By doing so, user cannot change manually in sale order. In fact, I would say, this is purely user discipline for which implementing some controls via customization can be avoided.

Hi,
Validations are used in FI postings only. It wont work for sale orders. However, the profit center will default in the sale order from the material master. So check with your technical team for define user exit at material master creation for not used the dummy profit center. In that way, you can control.
