Hi Experts , Please let me know for SAP ME development what are minimal tools required . is there any simple document which provides a detailed information . 1.NWDS  2.NWDI  - Is it required .can i still build applications without using NWDI 3. Netweaver server -  Any other tools are builds am i missing . Thanks, Kishore K V

Hi,

You can develop/build ME application using NWDS, NWDI is not mandatory.

Got the answer from other forum that we have add the below line in Eclipse.ini file :

-vm

C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_101\bin\javaw.exe .

As a first step, i tried to install the NWDS but getting unsupported JVM error . I have both JDK and JRE installed  of version jdk1.8.0_101 however it takes by default reference of jre1.8.0_101 folder instead of jdk1.8.0_101.

Hi,

1. NWDS is required for SDK development

2. NW Application server is required for SDK development

3. Oracle/SQL Server/HANA database can be shared among multiple developers

4. NWDI must be centrally installed and all developers should be connected to the same NWDI/SLD from NWDS.
