Problem with Admin Console (SLAC)

Hi all,

We have just installed Single Sign On server v3.0, and had it successfully configured for use with certificates a a Remote CA.

We ran into an issue when trying to configure the web client. First we copied the provided default web method (with Java UME) to a new name and saved it.

Now SLAC will not start, it dies with error.

  Any advise/suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks - Avinash

Hi Avinash,

Unfortunately, that is a issue with Secure Login Server 3.0. Remote CAs do not work with a web client. We are already aware of this issue, and it will be fixed in SP 1.

Is it really a requirement to use the web client, or can you use the Secure Login Client. This would work.

Regards,

Marcus

Hi Marcus,

My issue is that the admin console has stopped working. We would prefer to use the web client, but that is not mandatory.

The issue with the admin console continues even after applying SP1.

Thanks - Avinash

HI Avinash,

you should restart the SLAC from scratch and then never configure a web client with a remote CA. The issue will be fixed in the next SP.

To restart the SLAC from scratch delete the SecureLoginServer node from the ConfigDB and restart the server again.  Please be aware that all your configuration will be lost.

Regards,

Marcus
