Cross data view macro

Hi

environment:

Planning book PB has two data views DV1  ( monthly buckets) and DV2 (weekly buckets).

DV1 has keyfigures KF1 and DV2 has keyfigures KF1 and KF2.

We have a requirement where in I have a default macro in DV1. When a user makes a change to KF1 in DV1, the macro has to jump to DV2, execute another macro there that involves KF1 and KF2and jump back to DV1 to update the value for KF1.

Appreciate if any one can throw any ideas on how to jump from one data view to other and come back?

Thanks.

Hi

As macro as are dependent on Data views, it´s too difficult to change/jump with in the data views.

But why don´t you bring the KF2 from another Data view and hide into DV1. So your macro in DV1 only can use the KF1 and KF2 and execute it and provide the results into DV1.

Can you check if above solution can work for you.

Thanks

Thanks Amol. We considered that option but since the time buckets are different, we have a limitation to only run KF2 in the weekly buckets.

Hi

Then I don´t think you have any standard option but you can think about writing user exit marco to  get this done.
