BIP 4.2 SP3 / SAP User Import Issue

Hi all,

we have an issue with the SAP user import functionality of the BIP. It seems that it is not working...

If I assign a role (that role already exists also on the BIP) to a user (who does not exists on the BIP) within the BW system and try to execute the User and Role Import functionality directly in the BIP, the user won't be imported on the BIP! There is no error message or something like that.

This issue occurred after the upgrade of the BIP and it seems that the BIP is not trying to connect itself to the BW system. I was trying to activate the ST01 Trace on the BW system and execute the manual import process: With the result that i have no log entries on the BW site for the communication user.

Is there a special log file for this Import process where I can find a few additional information?

Hi Alex,

Check following thing before tracing:-

1. Do you have multiple BW system configured in BO and one is down.?then remove it.
2. check if the users used to configure the entitelment TAB is not locked(expired) in BW.
3. If you have sufficent licence to create new user.
4. check authorization for SAP user SAP 1659194, 1518578
5. try login manually what error you get.?
6. try creating aliase manually, if you get any error?
7. restart CMS and then check if users appear in users and groups.
