Good Day,

Is there a setting in configuration to make purchase order text mandatory in an article master?

Sorry but the answer is "no". In Customizing it is only possible to make fields mandatory. As "purchase order text" is not a field, it is not possible.

If you want to make a text mandatory you need to program something. It is an ABAP task.
