Error during registration of remote monitoring entry

Dear All,

When registering remote monitoring entry of type Host, following error message appears when saving the setup:

( SAPCCMSR.*******.99 ) Error when sending the configuration data to the agent

( SAPCCMSR.*******.99 ) SoapFaultCode:5 CCMS__RegisterCentralSystem failed: 404: LongSid 'NSD' too short.

The destination of is non-sap system with only SAP Host Agent installed.

I also followed note 1660079 and added entry to SAPCCMSR.INI, however the error is still present.

If your system as per above notes than please follow the instruction of this this note

2143943 - RZ21: Registration of SAPHOSTAGENT fails

It might be resolve this issue.

Hi ,

Check whether the Remote is getting connected normally & that is up & running & vice-versa. Generally from OS, I would try pinging, also check the IIS(in-case Windows) is running for that. In my SOLMAN, I would have also checked for sm59 RFC happening/Connection-Test or not.

I checked the connection and it is workung, also created entry in RZ20 and can see the data from the system.

However I am still curious how to solve this error.

Could you check the CCMS configuration? Login User/passwords. Is the ALE links provided/enabled?
