Packing instructions creation for pallet, case and eaches

Dear All

I have below requirement to create packing instructions for below material.

Material A - Base unit of measure 1 EA

                  Alternate unit of measure 24 EA = 1 CS (Case) and 1728 EA = 1 PAL (Pallet)

Packing material P1 for Pallet

Packing material P2 for Case

Packing material P3 for EA

I have done the basic set up needed for automatic packing. My requirement is that how to create packing instructions for pallet quantity, case quantity and EA quantity. Suppose if my delivery quantity is 3490( i.e. 2 full pallet quantity, 1 case quantity and 10 EA). Based on packing instruction my delivery should be packed with 2 HU's for 2 pallet quantity with packing material P1, 1 HU for 1 case quantity with packing material P2 and 1 HU for 10 EA with packing material P3.

I created three packing instruction as shown below:-

Instruction1 - for pallet quantity

Instruction2 - for case quantity

I created a delivery for 1727 EA but when I click on automatic packing button, I am getting below error.

Please let me know where I am going wrong.

Please explore with various combinations. I think the solution is somewhere close

Hi Satish

Please link all the packing instruction into the upper most level packing instruction.

For eg you have 2 packing materials for material A- Cases and Pallets

You maintain 2 packing instructions PACK1

P     Pallet

M     MaterialA 1728

PACK2

P     Case

M    MaterialA  24

Now go to PACK1 Again and add one more line as

I     PACK1

I-Subordinate Packing Instruction

You use subordinate packing instructions to create multilevel handling

units. These, in turn, contain materials, packaging materials, and if required,

subordinate packing instructions.
