SPAM/SAINT update finding

Hi ,

what is the suitable SPAM/SAINT version for ST-A/PI 01S/700 and ST-PI 2008_1_700 - SP14 deployment.

how to find it..I dont see it on the content info of these packages.

Will appreciate your inputs and help..

Hi

In addition to the above, I would also like to add that you would be required to have the current Maintenance Certificate renewed & installed, which would be required for SPAM/SAINT upgrade since the rule set by SAP from 2009. For upgrade purpose, if you upgrade upto the basic 52 or 54 version also, its fine, because that is the pre-requirement to a SPAM/SAINT upgrade. Also, need to stop the TR in queue & need to check other requirements like background jobs stopped for that time. Use BTCTRNS1, BTCTRNS2, RSBTCDEL, RSBTCDEL2 program-reports via t-code SE38 before doing this upgrade procedure.

Start the support pack, system will automatically notify if the version is old.

Download (n-1) version.

Hi Daniel,

You can use transaction SPAM to get the currently version of SPAM/SAINT. If you need to update SPAM/SAINT, update to the latest SP level of your version.

so the one component SAPKD70061 is enough for both SPAM/SAINT update..or for SAINT need to download separately...

before placing it under /EPS/in..need to be uncared ...right

please clarify..

Hi Daniel,

Yes SAPKD70061 will cater both SPAM/SAINT.

Simple process for applying this is that you copy it to /usr/sap/trans directory and then perform uncar using SAPCAR. It will automatically uncar the file in EPS/in.

Goto SPAM tcode in 000 client using super user.

Menu Support Packages --> Load package from application server.

Menu Support Packages --> Import SPAM/SAINT Update.

Hi,

For your ST-A/PI 01S/700 and ST-PI 2008_1_700 - SP14 deployment you can upgrade your SAINT/SPAM to

SPAM/SAINT Update - Version 700/0061 that is SAPKD70061

Go to service marketplace --> Software downloads and search with SAPKD70061 package name you will get it.

Hi,

Do one thing if you want add on a new component go through SAINT tcode.

if you want uploading support packages go through SPAM tcode..
