Hi Sourcing Experts,
We have created a Sub Agreement under a Master Agreement, later, we found that it should be created under another Master Agreement.
For this, we thought to move this Sub Agreement to actual Master Agreement instead of creating new one.
To do so, we tried a csv file import pointing to actual Master Agreement, but import is failing with the error "This Sub Agreement is pointing to another Master Agreement"
Alternatively, we did DB update like updating this Sub Agreement's Parent_Object_ID with actual Master Agreement object id. this is working fine, now the sub agreement is under correct Master.
Instead of DB approach, Is there any better approach to move Sub agreement from one Master Agreement to another MA ?
Please share your ideas, appreciate your help.
Thanks
Krish
Hi Krish,
If you are using the Master Agreement / Sub-Agreement two level structure, there is no "out of the box" way to move a Sub-Agreement to a different Master Agreement once it is created. We would normally cancel the Sub-Agreement with the incorrect Master Agreement relationship and create a new one. We typically don't recommend a direct DB update so would just recommend that you check to be sure that everything is working as expected.
Thank you,
Rosemary
