Database Extractor Setup error

Hello All,

We are trying to re run the manged system configuration. We have recently done netweaver upgrade in that system.

before going the upgrade we have moved the DB to another new host and performed the netweaver upgrade.

In step 4 It shows the old DB host name. I have delete(in solman db02)and created the step up again successfully and the steps 4 turns to green but the DB server is changed to again old db host name.

in DB02 the connection name is like SID_oldDBhostname but DB host name is new host name.

I am facing issue in step7 - final configuration Database Extractor setup

Can you anyone help me to fix this issue?

Hi Priyanga,

Did you installed SMD Agent on new host where you have moved DB?

Also since DB SID is same, so you have to remove entries related to old DB hostname, SMD Agent from Solution Manager prior to running setup steps with new hostname.

It seems like Solution Manager is still connected with old hostname.

Additioinally please try to delete entries from dbacockpit OR/AND tcode DBCO and then perform these steps again.

Hi Manish,

In old DB another system is running.

I had installed agent in new DB, 3rd step itself it's required.

What is different between DB02/DBCON/DBACOCKPIT to do the changes anyway I tried that as well no luck...

Please check if information for new system is correctly maintained in SLD and LMDB. If necessary, delete and push information again.

Hi Ning,

I had tried it already. Even I started form scratch(deleted/created in sld's/lmdb)

Issues was not fixed.
