Java AS doesn't restart automatically after driver deployment

Hello Experts,

Whenever I do a driver deployment from NWDS on to a SAP PI 7.4 AEX Java AS, the AS restarts automatically post the deployment.

This is working fine in my development and QA boxes.

But this doesn't work in my UAT box, When I check the logs, the deployment is finished successfully and the restart is also triggered but the server never comes back.

Is there any setting I am missing?

Reason for NWDS deployment : Everytime I do a deployment, I have to reach out to my basis team and I am working on a lot of POC's which require updating drivers frequently and I do not have access to SUM or JPSM.

Please suggest.

Hello Ravikanth,

Could you please ask to your Basis team to verify the logs under /usr/sap/<SID>/<INSTANCE>/j2ee/cluster/server<n> ?

After a deploy it's normal to take some minutes more than usual to restart, but should be started with no manual actions.

Hi Ravi,

Check the logs in work directory(/usr/sap/POD/J00/work). check the file std_server*.out files for more information.
