Hi,
I installed HANA on suse 11.
And now I am trying to install Solman 7.2 on Windows so it is considered a distributed installation, so the first step I installed ASCS sucessfully.
Now when I am trying to install the DB part from the distributed setup I am facing issue with the installer unable to communicate to the Suse server.
It is able to ping both the ip and also host name (after adding in to the etc hosts on windows server) But this particular error is popping up.
then i looked at the ports open in suse these are the ports
Is this correct?
the local it is showing 0.0.0.0 30015
Hello,
is there any firewall between the Windows server, and the HANA server? If yes, is the communication on 30015 port allowed through?
Check if you can telnet to the HANA port from the Windows:
telnet 10.1.10.67 30015
Best regards
Adam

Hello,
The telnet to 1128 was supposed to be from your windows machine. Not local on soldb.
Why is your telnet on soldb returning IP address 127.0.0.2 ?
On your windows machine you are resolving soldb to 10.1.10.67.
Please ensure that soldb resolves to the same IP on both the Linux and windows machines. Also make sure that it's fully qualified on both.
Finally, did you ever try to connect to your HDB install with the studio after you installed it ?

Amerjit
