Default value for Inspection characteristic in QE01

Hi,

In the record results _characteristic overview, for particular characteristic i want default value like P -PASS or F-FAIL in the result column and i will only maintained Inspection description.

How this can be done?

This question has been asked many times over the years.

There is no support for default values in QM SAP.  It is not really not a best practice to allow default values. Especially if the test is actually performed.

If you want default values put in for COA's,  you can do that in batch classification and the values will be on the batch.

But in an inspection lot, default values are not supported.

How about making a standard qualitative MIC and assign the selected set with PASS and FAIL values?

During result recording, use the 'Inspection description' to define the desired description.

Hi,

It is not possible in standard SAP.

You need to do ABAP development for this requirement. You can ask APAPer to Use User Exit QEEM0029 (User-Exit for Characteristic Overview Subscreen) as per your requirement.
