XI restart in qRFC not allowed

Hi,

I found queue got locked with status text 'XI Restart in qRFC not allowed'. Generally when queue got locked i use to do unlock and it automatically comes to running state.

I'd like to know the solution to process Queue without lost of data in that queues?

Hi Pratik,

restarting messages from the queue monitoring seems to working then 🙂

Have you checked the message trace for any clue what's wrong? Or ST22 and/or SM21?

I had some cases where messages were stuck for no apparent reason. Moving the corresponding LUW's to smq3 (via "save LUW") and restoring them back helped sometimes. Maybe you can try that.

Hi Pratik,

to be able to restart messages from queue monitoring you need to set a parameter in SXMB_ADM

Category: MONITOR

Parameter: QRFC_RESTART_ALLOWED

Value: 1 (default is 0)

Otherwise you'll receive the error you mentioned.

Actually i am not getting monitor option in transaction SXMB_ADM.

i want to process message stuck in queue .. i have also tried to deregister, register and activate queue but it shows message like "Error while activating queue".

Please suggest which steps needs to process for resolving the issue.

Have you checked the st22 transaction?, may be any dump is raised and it stops the queue.
