Duplicate Files Check in Test Mode- SAP PI 7.31

Dear Folks

We have a requirement on a transferring the files between end systems.

This is a bypass scenario wherein the files which are already processed shouldn't be transferred to target.

Sender system doesn't want to delete/archive the files from the source folder and hence the processing mode is TEST in our sender channel.

Tried an option of unchecking the overwrite option in receiver CC, which doesn't allow SAP PI to write the file to the target directory if the same filename exists, but this is not ideal to the requirement as target system team might delete the files as and when they are placed in target directory.

We have developed a interface with a duplicate file check option in sender communication channel as below:

Now, we have a problem in transferring the files as SAP PI sender cc is unable to read the newly placed files.

SAP PI is considering the first duplicate file and terminating the process without reading the newly placed files.

Can anyone please suggest a best way to achieve the requirement and also please help in understanding why this standard option is not feasible for this solution, we are in 7.31 dual stack SP12.

Hi Vijay,

One of the option would be delete the file and archive in the same folder with some other extension. You just need to convince the source system people that file extension will be changed after processing the file.

Hi Vijay,

kindly increase the threshold value to 1.

Threshold value is the valye beyond which the duplicate messages is not processed so if you enter 1 an alert will be raised for 2 duplicate message.
